Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we do with it, and what we will never do.
Effective: [LAUNCH DATE TBD]
Pristine America Movement ("Pristine America," "we," "us") is a nonprofit initiative in formation. This policy explains how we handle information collected through pristineamerica.org and related forms.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us directly through forms on this site. That is generally one or more of:
- §Name, email address, organization, and role.
- §Mailing address, county, and acreage (landowner inquiries only).
- §Free-text messages, files, or links you choose to attach.
- §Basic technical data: IP, user agent, referring page, viewport size.
We do not currently process donations, payment data, or financial account information. When donations open, payment processing will be handled by a vetted third-party processor and disclosed here.
Why we collect it
- §To respond to your inquiry, application, or media request.
- §To send you updates if you opted into a newsletter or briefing list.
- §To match landowners and researchers with cohort-eligible projects.
- §To maintain reasonable security and fraud-prevention logs.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with:
- §Our fiscal sponsor [TBD] for the limited purpose of nonprofit administration and, when relevant, charitable receipts.
- §Vetted vendors who run our infrastructure (Airtable, our email host, hosting provider, analytics) under written confidentiality terms.
- §Legal authorities if required by valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful process. We will resist overbroad requests.
Cookies and analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible or equivalent) that does not set cross-site tracking cookies and does not build advertising profiles. We do not run third- party ad pixels.
Your rights
You can request a copy of what we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to privacy@pristineamerica.org. We will respond within 30 days. California, Colorado, Virginia, and EU residents have additional statutory rights and may invoke them by the same channel.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, email privacy@pristineamerica.org and we will delete it.
Security
We use TLS in transit, scoped credentials, and access logging on our data backends. No system is perfectly secure; we do not promise one.
Changes
We will revise this policy as the organization matures. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days and re-dated above.
